“I do not understand what I do. For what I want to do I do not do, but what I hate I do.” (Romans 7:15). We can all relate to the words of Apostle Paul when it comes to missing opportunities to do what we want to do and instead doing things we don’t want to do. For all of the Bible reading, Sunday mornings attended, and prayers offered we can still find ourselves repeating pattern we don’t want to continue. Is it possible that there’s a psychological component to this? Is it possible that even though our spirits are saved and renewed when we receive Christ, our brains are wired into certain patterns surrounding sinful and harmful behaviors? The short answer: Yes! And the very good news: It is possible to change and learn new behaviors. Join Kristi and Rebecca as they hear for a second time from Dr. Kim Bushman, psychologist, clinical owner, and incredible woman of the Lord as she discusses this and other topics including following God’s leading in business and how to find a Christian counselor (see episode 01.15 for her first appearance on the show).
